The story of Dolly’s Delights is a true testament of grit and hustle. Dolly’s Delights was started back in 2015 by Stephanie Dolly. With only $40 in the bank, 2 children, and a dream, she decided to pack up all she had from Georgia and move her family to Grand Rapids, Michigan to launch her business. Stephanie began selling dessert jars and sweet potato pies to make ends meat.
Despite all obstacles Dolly’s Delights was able to successfully complete the Spring GR grassroots, entrepreneurship program which pushed her to obtain the licensing and structure to scale her bakery. In 2017, we obtained our first retail bakery license and worked out of the downtown Grand Rapids, incubator kitchen. In February of 2020, we obtained are first retail space. Dolly’s Delights has built a consistent fanbase of over 5,000 customers and fans of the brand, been featured in the Grand Rapids Business Journal, News 17, WZZM13, News 13, and Fox17 Online to name a few.
